This week we will be learning...
Math: To prepare for next year, we will be spending time over the new couple of weeks touching on third grade math topics, including multiplication and division.
Word Study: We will be learning about contractions and how they make speaking and writing easier.
Reading: We will continue reading The One and Only Ivan. We are now deep into the story and are becoming very attached to the characters! As we learn more about each character, we're finding we're able to see patterns in their behavior that help us to predict what might happen next.
Writing: We are busily, busily preparing for Thursday's Poet-Tea! I'd tell you more, but I don't want to spoil any of the surprises!
Science/Social Studies: We will be catching up on some Scholastic News.
Poetry: Our poem for the week is called "The Most Excellent Advice."
Have a great week!
