There is no school for students this Friday, March 1. Homework is due Thursday, February 28. The spelling test will also be on this day.
This week we will be learning...
Math: We are continuing to practice strategies for efficiently adding and subtracting two digit numbers. We are also working on writing equations to represent story problems.
Reading: For the next two weeks, we will be doing Readers' Theaters. This is a fun way to practice our fluency and work hard on our expressive skills by doing mini-plays.
Writing: We will continue working on our persuasive letters. Hopefully, most of us will finish drafting this week, and will be ready to peer edit next week!
Poetry: Our poem this week is called, "What is Pink?"
Wordy Study: Our word patterns are: short o, long o, oa, and ow. Our sight words are: ride, into, just, blue, red
Social Studies: We will be creating a long timeline as a class to include the people we've studied for Black History Month and Presidents Day. Each day this week, we will add to our timeline.
Have a wonderful week!
