- Blue Acrylic Paint
- White Acrylic Paint
- Yellow Acrylic Paint
- Black Acrylic Paint
- 5 or more paintbrushes of various sizes
- Black pipe cleaners
- Two mason jar lids
This week we will be learning...
Math: We will be learning about strategies for solving addition equations with multiple addends (i.e. 5+7+8+6=?). We will also be learning how to use a calculator!
Reading: We will continue dissecting stories by asking who, what, when, where, why, and how questions. This week we will focus on when and where (i.e. setting) and why (i.e. Why did the main character act angry when...?).
Writing: We are continuing to draft our personal narratives. This week we will learn how to write an ending that provides a sense of closure. Authors choose to use many different types of endings: happy endings, surprise endings, and reflective endings--just to name a few!
Word Study: Our spelling patterns for the week are cr, cl, fl, and fr.
Science: The time has come! This week we will finally be putting something into our terrarium!
Poetry: Our poem this week is called, "Who Has Seen the Wind?"
Happy (almost) October!
