*Thursday, December 18th we will snuggle into our pajamas and board the Polar Express! We will be going to the auditorium for a special viewing of the Polar Express movie and will also be reading the book so that we can compare and contrast the two versions of the story. If you have not returned your child's permission slip for the movie, please do so ASAP!
*Thursday, December 18th is also students' last day before the Winter Break!
*Friday, December 19th through Sunday, January 4th is Winter Break! We return to school on Monday, January 5th.
*Our first and second quarter awards assembly will be held on Thursday, January 8th at 1:00 in the auditorium. (More information to come!)
This week we will be participating in many holiday learning activities, including gift-making, gingerbread houses, our party, and watching The Polar Express!
Since this week is only a four day week, there is NO HOMEWORK due! Over the break, I will be sending home a Book Club log in place of an assignment. Students who fill in one side of the log (50 books) will receive a special prize when we return to school!
As this will be my last post of 2014, I wish you all a restful, joyous winter break filled with many blessings. Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Happy New Year! I look forward to more exciting learning in 2015!
Have a merry week!
