Report cards went home on Friday. Please remove your child's report card from the envelope, sign the envelope and return it to school ASAP. Those envelopes will be reused to mail report cards home at the end of the year.
Blizzard Bag #1 was assigned on Friday. This is how we will be making up the extra snow days we had to take this year. The Blizzard Bag can be printed and completed, or your child may use notebook paper to record answers. Blizzard Bag #1 is due April 11th. Follow the link below to find Blizzard Bag #1:

We have lots of important events coming up:
*March 26th: Field trip money and permission slips are DUE! If you are planning to chaperon the field trip, you must pay your $7 by this day.
*March 28th: Staff Development Day--No school for students!
*March 31st-April 4th: Spring Break!!!
*April 10th: Field Trip! We will be traveling to the Children's Theatre of Cincinnati to see Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka Jr. Information and permission slips were sent home last week. If you have not already done so, please return the permission slip and $7 admission fee ASAP. Since we will be departing school at 10:30, and returning around 2:00, students are encouraged to pack a large lunch for the day. We will eat part of our lunches prior to leaving, and eat the rest when we get back to school.

This week we will be learning...
Math: We are continuing to develop strategies for solving more challenging double digit addition and subtraction problems.
Reading: We will spend time this week reviewing nonfiction text features and talking about how they can help to clarify texts.
Writing: We are still working to revise, edit, and publish our persuasive pieces!
Poetry: Our poem this week is called, "Windshield Wipers."
Word Study: We are continuing to study frequently misspelled words. This week’s words are: pretty, said, coming, have, here, does, some ,would, should, when, don’t, house, of, where, friend
Science: We will be using our science textbooks to do a review of force and motion.
