There are many important events coming up:
*This week is holiday spirit week. Each day has a different dress-up theme!

-Wednesday: Holiday Headgear Day! (Including hats!)
-Thursday: PJ Day! Wear pajamas! (NO slippers allowed.)
*Monday, December 14th we will be going to the auditorium for a concert given by the high school guitar students. It will be so much fun to listen to how much they have already learned this year!
*Tuesday, December 15th we will be visited by a player from the Cincinnati Bengals! We don't know who the player will be yet, but he is coming to talk with us about the importance of keeping our bodies active and healthy.
*Tuesday, December 15th is also our day to make gingerbread houses! Thank you so much to everyone who helped provide supplies for this exciting activity. Gingerbread houses will be sent home at the end of the day, but please note that no matter how tempting they may appear, they are NOT edible.
*Wednesday, December 16th from 1:00-2:00 will be our class holiday party! We still need a few things for the party. If you would like to send something in, please sign up by following the link below. Thank you so much to everyone who has already sent things in!

*Thursday, December 17th is also students' last day before the Winter Break!
*Friday, December 18th through Sunday, January 3rd is Winter Break! We return to school on Monday, January 4th.
*Last but not least, we are going through tissues very quickly with all the coughs and colds we've had. We will run out soon, so if you would like to send in a box, it would be much appreciated!
Since this week is only a four day week, there is NO HOMEWORK due, but a Book Club log was sent home on Friday. The Book Club log is optional, but students who fill in one side of the log (50 books) will receive a special prize if they turn it in the day we return from break (Monday, January 4th).
As this will be my last post of 2015, I wish you all a restful, joyous winter break filled with many blessings. Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Happy New Year! I look forward to more exciting learning in 2016!
Have a merry week!
