We are still collecting paper towel tubes. If you have some, please send them in!
Also, in addition to the list of important events from last week, the second grade spring concert will be the evening of April 23rd. The time is tentatively set for 6:00.
Many thanks to those of you who have sent in tissues and hand sanitizer. It's much appreciated!
Report cards went home on Friday. Please sign and return the envelopes ASAP.
There is no homework due this week, nor will any homework be sent home over the break.
Just a reminder... there is no school this Friday!
This week we will be learning...
Math: We will continue our investigation of fractions and extend our understanding of 1/2, 1/3, and 1/4 of an object.
Reading and Writing: We have already learned about and experimented with writing found poems, mask poems, and color poems. This week we will also explore list poems and poem scaffolding.
Poetry: Our poem this week is called, "Mystery Flower."
Word Study: There is no spelling list this week.
Science: Students will finish writing their "How To" procedures, practice demonstrating them, and record them.
Have a fantastic, snowy week!
